It will be a few more weeks, if not months, before folks in most parts of the U.S. can plant seeds or transplants in the ground without having to worry that a late frost could kill the tender seedlings.
But that doesn’t mean you have to wait for spring to get growing. Just give herbs a try.
You can grow most herbs indoors without the aid — or cost — of artificial lighting. Simply set them near a window.
